Replogle’s Two Strong Swims Lead Republic (Photos)

Elise Replogle captured a win in the 200-yard individual medley with a time of 2:27.45, dropping more than 12 seconds from her previous mark in an early-season swim meet Thursday. She followed that with a third-place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (59.67), improving her time by more than two seconds.

Sara Chism captured second place in the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing in 1:29.46. She also competed in the 50-yard freestyle, finishing seventh with a time of 30.26, more than a second faster than her previous best.

Mei Pruett placed fifth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:34.40), shaving more than two seconds off her previous time. Earlier, she had finished 10th in the 50-yard freestyle (30.92).

Aubree Tinsley took ninth in the 200-yard freestyle (2:21.56) and seventh in the 100-yard backstroke (1:25.22), improving her backstroke time by more than a second.

Amelia Beaver placed 12th in the 200-yard freestyle (2:35.67) and 13th in the 100-yard freestyle (1:08.55).

Republic’s 200-yard freestyle relay team finished third with a time of 1:59.13, nearly a second faster than their previous best. The 400-yard freestyle relay team was disqualified.
