Brenley Hagewood led all players in total scoring during the Republic Invitational, powering Republic to its first tournament championship in four years.
Hagewood opened with 23 points in the Tigers’ win over Capital City. He followed that with a tournament-high 27 points in a semifinal victory against Rolla. In the championship game against Springfield Central, Hagewood scored 24 points, with eight coming in the fourth quarter to help Republic secure the title.
Hagewood’s 74 points over three games propelled Republic to its first Republic Invitational championship since 2020 and the first of his high school career. His tournament performance and clutch scoring in the championship final earn our Performance of the Week honors.
