Kickapoo jumped to an early lead and never looked back in a 55-34 win over Republic at the Stephanie Phillips Classic Friday. The Lady Chiefs led 20-6 after the first quarter, marking the second straight game Republic’s offense struggled in the opening period.
Kickapoo extended its lead to 33-16 at halftime and 48-24 after three quarters.
Cora Cutbirth led Republic with 10 points. She was the only Lady Tiger in double-figures scoring.
Republic will face Strafford Saturday at 3:30 p.m. The game will stream live on Republic Tiger Sports’ YouTube channel.
