Republic High School cross country runners posted strong performances at the Cedar Ridge Invitational in Branson on Saturday, with several athletes setting personal records.
Will Payne led the Tiger boys, finishing 15th with a season-best time of 17:09.12. Freshman Lucas Riffe placed 26th, setting a personal record of 17:38.91.
For the girls, Catherine Wilson and Brylie Harris finished back-to-back in 16th and 17th places. Wilson set a personal record of 21:14.41, while Harris ran the course in 21:22.34.
Other Republic boys finishers included Dalton Glendenning (69th), Gabe Benjamin (71st), Kaisei Wilcutt (78th), Alex DeHaan (80th), and Caleb Brest (93rd).
On the girls’ side, Mei Pruett finished 47th with a season-best time of 22:44.42. Zoey Johns (49th), Jovi Kirby (79th), Alexa Langdon (80th), and Kelly Calderon (87th) rounded out Republic’s results. Langdon and Calderon both set personal records.
The meet was held at the Cedar Ridge course in Branson.
