Performance of the Week – Izaiah Hull

Izaiah Hull turned in his best rushing performance of the season Friday, helping Republic shut out Neosho 40-0 on the road. The junior fullback rushed for 118 yards on 13 carries, including a career-long 67-yard run that set up a Tigers touchdown in the second quarter.

Hull’s big night was part of a dominant Republic rushing attack that piled up 306 yards against the Wildcats. He averaged 9.1 yards per carry and helped the Tigers control the ball for most of the game, as Republic ran 63 offensive plays to Neosho’s 24.

The 67-yard dash was Hull’s most memorable play of the night, even though he was caught short of the goal line.

“It’s fun at first, seeing that wide-open field, but 40 yards in, I was breathing heavy and I was slowing down. I knew someone was going to get me,” Hull said.

The win improved Republic’s record to 6-2. Hull’s career night leading the Tigers’ rushing attack is our Performance of the Week.
