Will Payne and Catherine Wilson paced Republic’s runners at the Central Ozark Conference Cross Country Championship Saturday in Nixa.

Payne finished seventh in the boys’ varsity race with a time of 16:59.45. Lucas Riffe also cracked the top 15, placing 12th in 17:13.67. The Tigers finished fifth in the COC West team standings.
Wilson led the Republic girls with a 10th-place finish, clocking 20:33.67. The Lady Tigers didn’t field a complete team.
Gracie Troester, working back from injury, won the girls’ junior varsity race in 19:49.16. Her time would have placed third in the varsity competition.
