Piper Dishman earned the win and Kara Goeke came in to finish out the victory. Dishman worked three scoreless innings, striking out five, walking two, and allowing a base hit. Goeke allowed three hits but no runs, striking out four in two innings of work.

Dishman also had two hits at the plate, and so did Addie Brown, who scored twice. Watson drove in two runs and scored twice. Paige Elsenraat was also on base twice with a hit and a walk.

Madison Chevalier and Jayma Pitchford both came off the bench to pick up their first-ever varsity base hits in the victory.

It’s the second year in a row Republic has played Seneca, coached by former Lady Tiger Ally Stolte, daughter of Republic assistant Allen Stolte.

The win improves Republic’s record to 5-2. The Lady Tigers will face Waynesville in a Central Ozark Conference matchup at home Tuesday. They’ll also celebrate Senior Night.
