The Republic girls golf team entered today’s Pearson Invitational with momentum after a strong third-place finish at the Willard Invitational last week. It was one of the best team performances for the Lady Tigers in several seasons.
At Willard, the Lady Tigers posted a team score of 404, good enough for bronze in the team tournament standings.
Izzy Benson paced Republic with an 88, securing fifth place overall. Jenna Smith followed closely, carding a 90 to finish sixth. Both Benson and Smith earned medals for their performances.
Mylee Ramsey contributed a 106 to the team total. Paige Crosby shot 120, while London Crawford rounded out the Republic squad with a 130.
Rylee Allred of Ash Grove won the tournament with a 72. Central won the team title with a score of 386.
The Lady Tigers look to build on this solid showing as they compete in today’s Pearson Invitational.
