Senior Izzy Benson made her season debut at the Marshfield Invitational, leading Republic’s girls golf team with an 82. Benson’s score earned her eighth place individually and a medal.
Benson had missed the first tournament of the season because of illness. Her performance Thursday helped Republic break 400 in their team score for the first time in recent memory. The Lady Tigers finished seventh overall in the tournament.
Mylee Ramsey shot 101, Jenna Smith 95, Stephanie David 115, and Paige Crosby 121 to round out Republic’s scoring.
Strafford won the team title with a score of 333.
