Two Lady Tigers Earn Academic All-State Recognition

Two Republic soccer players have landed on the academic all-state team recognized by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association. Molly Blades and Brooklyn Claxton were both named to the team for Class 3 and 4.

Republic was the only school in the Central Ozark Conference to place two players on the team. Carl Junction, Neosho, and Nixa each had one player recognized.

Players who first meet a standard of “soccer excellence” on the field are then evaluated based on a combination of their grades and standardized test scores. They also must participate in at least two additional extracurricular activities to be considered.
