Republic soccer forward Molly Blades has been named to the Class 4 all-state team. Blades was an honorable mention selection by the Missouri High School Soccer Coaches Association. She’s the first Republic player to earn an all-state designation in Class 4.
Blades was a co-captain on a Republic team that finished 17-7. She led the team with 20 goals and 14 assists, and she was Republic’s Offensive Player of the Year for a second consecutive season.
Blades was also one of two Lady Tigers named to the Academic All-State team, along with Brooklyn Claxton.
This is the first time since 2016 that Republic has placed a player on the all-state squad. Emily Jordan was a Class 3 All-State selection that year.
