Cason Bekemeier shot a 74 during Republic’s first golf meet of the spring, leading the Tigers to a seventh-place team finish at the 22-team Bolivar Invitational at Silo Ridge Country Club on Monday.

Republic finished just five strokes out of sixth place. The Tigers were at the bottom of a tightly packed bunch of teams, with Ozark finishing sixth at 322. West Plains scored a 325, Branson a 326, and Republic a 327.
In addition to Bekemeier’s seventh-place score of 74, Jace Henry finished with an 82, Porter Bollinger shot an 85, Aslan Ebisch scored an 86, and Brayden Tharp finished with a 92.
