Republic finished seventh out of 24 teams at the Aldo Sebben/Missouri State University (MSU) Relays at Payne Stewart Golf Course in Springfield Thursday.

Cason Bekemeier led the Tigers with a score of 73. That put him in fifth place overall, just three strokes behind tournament winner Jonathan Jordan of Rolla. Three other golfers — Ethan Mustard of Lebanon, Jaxon Bailey of Monett, and Jack Spencer of Carl Junction — finished in a tie for second place at 71.
Republic’s other four golfers turned in solid scores in the 80s. Porter Bollinger finished with an 82, his best score of the young season. Jace Henry scored an 83. Brayden Tharp finished with a season-best 84, and Aslan Ebisch shot an 88.
