Nambara’s All-State Selection Leads Republic Basketball Honors

Republic’s Misora Nambara has earned all-state honors from the Missouri Basketball Coaches Association. Nambara’s all-state selection is the capper to a series of post-season honors for the senior guard. She was also named Central Ozark Conference (COC) Player of the Year and selected to the all-COC and all-district basketball teams.

Nambara is Republic’s only all-state basketball selection. She’s joined on the Class 6 District 5 all-district team by Molly Blades and Lauren Chastain. Brenley Hagewood was Republic’s only all-district selection in the boys tournament.

In addition to Nambara’s selection as COC Player of the Year, the Lady Tigers celebrated two other all-COC selections. Molly Blades was voted to the first team, and Lanney Strong earned honorable mention. Kris Flood was named COC Coach of the Year for leading the Lady Tigers to an undefeated conference record.

Hagewood was a first-team all-COC honoree on the boys team in a unanimous vote. James Rexroat earned a spot on the second team, and Jordan Douglas was a third-team pick.
