With a perfect Central Ozark Conference (COC) season in danger and an outright championship at stake, Molly Blades stepped up down the stretch to help get the Lady Tigers across the finish line.
In Republic’s regular-season finale, Carl Junction led by seven points, 33-26, at the end of the third quarter. But in the final eight minutes, Republic outscored the Lady Bulldogs 21-8 to secure the title, and Molly Blades was a big part of that.
Blades scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, including a couple of three-point field goals at key moments. She finished with a team-high 20 points, leading the offensive charge in the final eight minutes, and it was our Performance of the Week.
