Republic will have its first basketball super night of the 2023-24 season. The boys and girls basketball teams will all play Thursday, January 11, at home against Joplin. The six-game night is the result of a schedule change because of impending winter weather forecast for the weekend.
The Lady Tigers had been scheduled to host Joplin Thursday, with the Tigers scheduled at home on Friday. But because of a bad Friday forecast, the boys games will be moved up to Thursday also.
Friday’s planned celebration of the 2014 state championship boys basketball team has been postponed to Friday, January 19, during Republic’s game against Kickapoo.
