Republic football coach Ryan Cornelsen was named southwest Missouri’s Class 5 Coach of the Year by his fellow coaches, and quarterback Wyatt Woods was the region’s Offensive Player of the Year, in addition to being the first team quarterback. The winners were selected by a vote of the Southwest Missouri Football Coaches Association.
Offensive lineman Carter Nation, running back Kanon Krol, wide receiver James Rexroat, and linebacker Kendell Curbow joined Woods on the all-region first team. Nation, Krol, and Woods were unanimous selections at their position.
Offensive lineman Mason Mitchell, defensive lineman Caden White, linebacker Cole Gimlin, and defensive back Brady Lewis were named to the second team, along with Garrett Lester, who earned recognition as a second-team kick returner.
