Republic Tiger Sports will be producing its usual live broadcast of the Republic football game when the Tigers travel to Lebanon tonight to play the Yellowjackets for a district championship. We will provide a free audio play-by-play feed and a pay-per-view video feed as required by MSHSAA.
Audio
We’ll stream our audio feed through a site called Mixlr, and the audio player will be embedded here. But you can also download the Mixlr app on your phone and listen through that. I’ve used this app to access other broadcasts in the past, and in my opinion, that’s a better experience because the audio will continue to play while you are doing other things, your phone is more portable, etc.
Video
First, this is our usual broadcast with Republic announcers. But MSHSAA requires that we stream it through their platform. A few things to know about this:
- You can sign up using the video player embedded on this page. You can watch the game on this page.
- You can also watch through the MSHSAA TV mobile app, or the MSHSAA TV app for smart TV devices like Roku. I have not signed up for a broadcast or watched a game using this app, but I know people who’ve done it. If you use a smart TV device, you can watch on your television.
- Either way, you’ll need to create an account and log in before you buy or watch. I’d suggest doing that ahead of time so you’re not stuck wading through that process when everyone else is, at 7 p.m.
- There will two versions of the livestream, because Lebanon will provide one, too. When you do sign up, if you aren’t sick of us, make sure you pick ours. It will look like the photo at the top of this page.
