Performance of the Week – Gracie Troester

Gracie Troester finally exceeded the high standard she had set for herself during the first cross country meet of this season. After blowing away her personal best time and setting a new school mark during the first meet of the year at Bolivar, Troester had not come especially close to beating that time again — despite blowing away the rest of the field during most of her meets. That changed at the COC championship in Nixa last week. Troester ran the course in 18:28.48, beating her previous record by nine seconds and winning the COC championship. She’s thought to be the first girl to win the COC cross country title, and her race is our Performance of the Week.
