Republic earned three top-ten finishes at the Laker Invitational Cross Country meet in Camdenton Saturday. Gracie Troester won another race, finishing in 18:59.73, about 35 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor. Republic senior Kristin Probst was third, coming in at 19:56.14.
Senior Brady Purcell finished fifth to lead the boys team. He ran the course in 16:40.72. Sophomore William Payne finished 13th (17:07.78).
The Republic girls finished second as a team, behind Webb City, which also captured the boys title. Republic’s boys were ninth overall.
