Republic recovered from a first-set loss to sail past Camdenton in a non-conference road win Thursday, 20-25, 25-10, 25-16, 25-20.
The win snapped a two-match losing streak for Republic against Ozark Conference teams. The Lady Tigers had lost to Kickapoo and Glendale in its preceding two matches before turning back OC member Camdenton.
Rilynn Finley led Republic with 16 kills, and she also added two blocks at the net defensively. Alaina Norman and Addison Fanning each had 14 digs to lead the team. Brooklyn Claxton had 33 assists, and she led Republic with two service aces, along with Norman.
The win improves Republic’s record to 8-3. The Lady Tigers host Heritage, Ark., Saturday.
