Republic’s volleyball team kept its winning streak alive with a straight-set win against Willard, 25-14, 25-12, 25-17. Republic advances its season record to 15-4 and extends its winning streak to five straight matches. The Lady Tigers have won eight of their last nine matches.
Rilynn Finley led the offense with 23 kills. Alaina Norman had nine kills, Reese Frey had five, and Reese Finley and Addison Fanning contributed three kills each.
On the defensive side, Fanning led with 13 digs, followed by Brooklyn Claxton with 11. Finley logged 10 digs, while Norman and Frey added seven six, respectively.
Claxton distributed the ball to the offense with 29 assists, and Frey contributed 16 assists. Claxton also scored three service aces to lead the team.
Republic travels to Neosho Thursday seeking its sixth straight win.
