The Republic girls tennis team will compete in Class 3 District 5 this fall. The assignments were handed down today by the Missouri State High School Activities Association.
Republic is joined by Kickapoo, Lebanon, Neosho, Nixa, Ozark, and Waynesville.

In tennis, teams compete in two district tournaments — one for team competition, similar to the regular season; another for singles and doubles play, set up as a typical tournament without team consideration.
On the team side, the top seed will receive a bye for the first round of districts, with the other six teams competing in the first round.
