The Tiger football and soccer teams will have to wait a little longer to start their 2023 campaigns.
Friday’s opening football game at Republic has been pushed back to an 8:00 pm start because of forecast heat and humidity. Gates will open at 7:00 instead of 6:00.
The soccer team, which had been scheduled to begin with a varsity match at 3:30 Friday has been moved to Saturday morning. The varsity match against Waynesville will begin at 9:30 am, with the JV match to follow.
The Republic softball team is scheduled to open Friday at the Morrisville Tournament, and a possible reschedule of those games is under consideration.
