Cooper Davis and Cooper Choate teamed up to win the #2 doubles bracket at the Republic Invitational tennis tournament Friday. Davis and Choate won all their matches in sweeping to victory.
Republic finished third overall, behind champion Carthage and runner-up Bolivar.
Garrett earned a medal in the #1 singles bracket, finishing third. His only loss was to eventual singles champion Cy Douglas of Bolivar in the semifinals.
Jon Cole and Gavin Collyott also earned a third-place medal playing in the #1 doubles bracket. Cole and Collyott defeated the Forsyth team of Jaden Campbell and Levi Lux to win third.
Davis and Choate defeated teams from Bolivar, Carthage, and Forsyth on their way to the bracket championship, defeating Forsyth’s Gavin Tilley and Willis Bearden 8-4 in the finals.
