Baseball District 1st Round Moved

Wet field conditions have prompted Republic to move its baseball district first-round games to US Ballpark in Ozark Tuesday. Recent rain has left Republic’s field wet already, and with more rain expected, activities director Trevyor Fisher made the call to use the turf field in Ozark.

Only the first-round games are affected by this move. Fisher said second-round games Thursday and the championship game Friday are still scheduled to be played in Republic, if the weather cooperates.

Game times remain the same for Tuesday. Republic will open district play with a game against Carthage at 11 am.
