Republic finished third in a closely contested four-team tournament at Bolivar. Nixa came out on top, ahead of Bolivar, Republic, and Willard.
Austin Hardcastle finished first in the Flight #3 singles bracket, winning all three of his matches. “He had opponents and spectators shaking their heads all day long at his precise and clever shot-making,” coach David Smashey reported.
Gavin Collyott finished second in Flight #2 singles. He “played well in all three matches,” Smashey said. Collyott dropped the championship match in his bracket in a tiebreaker.
