Performance of the Week – April 10, 2023

Gracie Troester not only finished second in two events at one of the biggest meets of the year last week, she broke a longstanding school record while doing it. Competing at the Girls Night Out track meet in Springfield Wednesday, Troester finished second in both the 3200m run and the 1600m run.

In the 3200, Troester finished in 11:31.26. That was more than three seconds faster than the previous school mark, set by Audra Robinson in 2002.

Troester was also part of the 4x800m relay team — along with Misora Nambara, Cali Thompson, and Kristin Probst — that finished fourth, giving her three medals on the day. All together, it was our performance of the week.
