Bek, Henry Lead Tigers to Strong Finish at Willard (Photos)

Cason Bekemeier and Jace Henry both shot in the low 70s to lead Republic at the Willard Invitational. Bekemeier finished in a second-place tie with Monett’s Jaxon Bailey. They both shot a 73, one stroke behind champion Michael Alves of Marshfield. Henry was just one stroke behind Bekemeier and Bailey, shooting a 74 to finish in fourth place. In addition to Bekemeier and Henry, Republic got scores of 85 by Brayden Tharp, 98 by Bryce Ondrick, and 94 by Luke Heavin. They finished with a team score of 326. That was good for fifth in an 18-team field.

Nixa won the team championship with a score of 302. Ozark was second at 307. Monett finished third at 321. Willard was just ahead of Republic with a 324, for fourth place.
