The Lady Tigers beat Rogersville 3-0 to pick up their first win of the season in their home opener. Kaylee Cornelsen, Kendra Phiri, and Cadence Lugar each scored goals for the Lady Tigers, who improved to 1-1.
Cornelsen put Republic on top early in the first half when she took a pass from Ava Brown and punched the ball into the right corner of the goal.
Later in the first half, Phiri fired a rocket from the middle of the field about 25 yards out. It sailed into the upper left corner of the goal to make the score 2-0.
In the second half, Cameron Burton fed Lugar in the middle of the field and Lugar fired it past the Wildcat keeper from 20 yards away to make the score 3-0.
