During Republic’s two-game trip to Columbia last week, Mason Mitchell had about as good a day as hitter could have. In Republic’s 14-8 win over Rolla, Mitchell was 3-for-3 with two doubles, two runs batted in, and a run scored. In the Tigers’ 18-15 win against Rock Bridge, Mitchell was 3-for-3 again, but he added a walk and drove in four runs in that game.
In all, Mitchell finished the day 6-for-6 with a walk, six RBIs and a run scored. Taken together, his two-game performance was our Performance of the Week.
