500

The number of wins for Kris Flood during his coaching career. Flood won his first game in 1999 against Joplin.

324

The number of career assists by Ahlante Askew. Askew surpassed the career assists record at Republic, previously held by Race Looney, during the Tigers’ game at Nixa Monday night. Askew has 107 assists this season.

143

The number of career steals by Ahlante Askew. Askew surpassed the previous mark of 109 held by Evan Wofford earlier this season. Askew has 41 this season. The single-season record of 65, set in 1989, is held by Jonathan Parks.

10

The number of games won by the Republic Lady Tigers against teams ranked in the top ten in Missouri at the time of the game. Three of those wins are against Class 6 top-ten teams. All three of Republic’s losses are also to ranked teams, and of Republic’s 22 opponents this season, only four currently have losing records.

18

The winning streak compiled by Republic’s boys basketball team before losing to Nixa earlier this week. Republic has only won more games in a row one time previously: during the 1962-63 season, which ended in a Class M state championship. The last time Republic won 18 in a row, the streak ended at Nixa — and Republic avenged the loss in a second meeting. The Tigers could get another crack at the Eagles in the district tournament.
