Kaemyn Bekemeier had already scored 65 points combined in the first three games of the Pink & White Lady Classic. She was even better when the spotlight got brighter in the final.
Facing the #2 team in Class 6 and one of the top-rated players in Missouri, Grain Valley and star Grace Slaughter, Bekemeier put on a clinic onboth ends of the floor. Bekemeier scored a tournament-high 28 points. She also guarded Slaughter, who averages about 30 points per game, most of the night, holding her to just 12 points.
Her standout championship-night effort both offensively and defensively was Republic’s Pink & White Performance of the Week.
