Sophomore cross country runner Gracie Troester seems to be peaking at the right time.Troester ran her best race ever at the Class 5 District 2 meet at Nixa Saturday. She finished in 18:51.69. That was not only the best time she’s ever run, but it’s the best time ever run by a female cross country runner at Republic. Troester’s time earned her a second-place finish and a berth at the state cross country meet with teammates Kristin Probst and Brady Purcell. Her record-setting race was our Performance of the Week.
