Davidson Headed to D-1 Lindenwood for Lacrosse

Republic lacrosse player Lincoln Davidson has committed to play for Lindenwood University in St. Charles. He’s the first lacrosse player from Republic to commit to a Division 1 college program.

Davidson finished last season with 70 points on 56 goals and 14 assists. He ranked seventh in the state in goals scored in 2021-22.

We talked to him about his decision on national signing day.

Why Lindenwood?

The biggest reason is distance. I was looking at D-1 schools, and all the rest are 10-plus hours away. This is by far the closest spot to go D-1, but I really love the campus and I really connected with the coaching staff.

What are you going to take from your time playing lacrosse with this program?

Probably work ethic, and how hard you have to work to get where you want to be. That’s the main thing. I’m looking to go in there and show my work ethic.

What are you looking forward to the most about playing lacrosse in college?

The super-high level of lacrosse. The ball moves super-fast, and everyone (plays) at a super-high level. To work and see really good lacrosse players every day.
