Republic earned 12 spots on the all-Central Ozark Conference Teams announced Saturday. Three Republic players were first-teamers: Carter Nation on the offensive line, Dean Marcum on the defensive line, and Wyatt Woods in an all-around “Athlete” position.
Six Republic players were named to the second team. Offensively, coaches recognized running back Connor Sandridge and wide receiver James Rexroat. On the defense, coaches gave second-team recognition to Cole Gimlin at defensive end, Cooper Douglas and Kendell Curbow at linebacker, and Josh Silver at defensive back.
Kanon Krol and Gunner Ellison were each named to the all-COC third-team offense, and Gavyn Beckner was named to the third-team defense.
Coaches named Carthage’s Luke Gall as Offensive Player of the Year for his work at running back and Defensive Player of the Year for his work at linebacker. John Perry was voted COC Coach of the Year.
