Republic will be the seventh seed in the eight-team Class 5 District 5 tournament in Springfield next week. The Lady Tigers will square off against #2 Nixa in the quarterfinal at 5:00 pm on Tuesday, October 11.
All four quarterfinals will be played that day. Top seed Ozark will meet host Springfield Central (8) at 1:00 pm. Neosho (4) and Joplin (5) will play at 3:00 pm. Kickapoo (3) and Carthage (6) will meet in the final game of the day, at 7:00 pm.
The semifinals will be played on Wednesday, October 12 at 4:30 pm and 6:30 pm. If Republic wins, it would play Kickapoo or Carthage in the late game.
The championship game is scheduled for Friday, October 14 at 5:00 pm.
Republic played Nixa twice this season, losing 10-0 at Nixa, then losing in extra innings at the Springfield Invitational 14-13.
