Lady Tigers Sweep Branson

Republic volleyball won its second straight match, going on the road to defeat Branson in three sets, 25-10, 25-19, 25-21. Rilynn Finley and Kailey Manes were both big weapons up front, racking up 12 kills apiece. Finley also led the team in blocks, with two.

Kaemyn Bekemeier was the digs leader for the night, with 11. Brooklyn Claxton had 18 assists, and Manes and Claire Esther each had two service aces.

Republic improves to 23-9 overall. They are 5-2 in the Central Ozark Conference and will continue their league slate with a trip to Carthage Thursday. They’ll close out the regular season against COC leader Ozark at home on October 18.

Republic’s 23 wins are the most since 2013, when the Lady Tigers finished 23-11-1.
