Republic XC Teams Finish Strong at Lebanon

The Republic girls cross country team finished second and the boys team finished third at the Lebanon Invitational Saturday morning. The girls finished with a cumulative rank of 41 among their top five finishers, just one behind team winner Rolla, which had 40. Both those teams were far ahead of the rest of the pack. Third-place finisher Camdenton finished with a 75.

In the boys race, Republic finished with a cumulative rank of 80. Capital City won the team race with a 41 and Lebanon was second with a 69.

All six of Republic’s girls finished in the top half of the field. Gracie Troester, running her first race of the season, led the way with a time of 19:59.1, good enough for second place. Kristin Probst finished fourth with a time of 20:43.3. Misora Nambara just missed the top 10, running in a time of 22:04.7 and finishing 11th. Brooklyn Douglas (22:44.2) and Kennidy Verheyen (22:45.2) were 17th and 18th, respectively. Mylee Ramsey finished 25th, with a time of 23:32.3.

Cooper Davis turned in the top finish for Republic’s boys team, finishing sixth with a time of 17:12.6. Brady Purcell wasn’t far behind him, finishing ninth with a time of 17:19.7. William Payne (18:39.9) and Hayden Mitchell (18:41.6) were 19th and 20th. Dak Henning was 33rd, finishing in 19:15.9, Kaisei Wilcutt finished 37th with a time of 19:36.9, and Joey Mullins ran the course in 20:04.8, finishing 41st.
