Republic XC Dominates Home Meet (Photos)

Republic dominated its home cross country meet, winning both varsity team championships and both varsity individual titles. Gracie Troester and Kristin Probst finished 1-2 in the girls race. Brady Purcell finished first among the boys, earning his first varsity gold. (Scroll down for photos.)

Four of Republic’s girls finished in the top ten and five were in the top 11. Troester finished 52 seconds ahead of anyone else in the race with a time of 20:07. Probst was second, Misora Nambara was eighth, Brooklyn Douglas was ninth, and Kennidy Verheyen was 11th.

Purcell’s winning time of 17:26.50 was about 12 seconds ahead of David Kendall of New Covenant Academy. Republic’s Joey Mullins was sixth, Cooper Davis was ninth, William Payne was 12th, and Kaisei Wilcutt was 14th. Dak Henning finished 19th, with Peyton Brake, Hayden Mitchell, and Cannon Underwood coming in at 38-39-40, respectively.
