The three-person Republic swim team earned 30 team points at the Ozarks Invitational. Junior Brady Lewis, Republic’s only returning swimmer, earned 22 of them with two top-eight finishes. (Photos Below)
Lewis finished eighth in both the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke. He shaved more than 1.5 seconds off his previous best time this season in the butterfly and .64 seconds off his time in the backstroke.
Noah Marshall earned eight points with 13th-place finishes in both the 200-yard individual medley (with a time improvement of .82 seconds), and the 100-yard backstroke.
Even Alstad also competed for Republic, showing his biggest improvement in the 100-yard freestyle, where he shaved more than eight seconds off his previous best time.
