Republic scored seven touchdowns in their home opener against Ozark, a 51-13 blowout — and quarterback Wyatt Woods had a part in four of them. Woods rushed 18 times for 112 yards and three touchdowns, and he completed four of five passes for 90 yards and another touchdown. He also turned in what was, at the time, the play of the year so far, escaping multiple tacklers in the backfield before getting to the outside and picking up a first down with an 18-yard run that set up another of Republic’s touchdowns.
