In the second golf tournament of the season, sophomore Izzy Benson turned in her second top-ten finish. Benson was tenth at the Marshfield Invitational Thursday with a score of 84. That’s a six-shot improvement over her score at the season’s first tournament in Joplin, although her 90 at Joplin put her second overall in that tournament last week.
As a team, Republic shaved 26 strokes off its collective score from a week ago, finishing with a 457.
