Make it Eight: Lady Tigers Stay Perfect with Road Win

Another match, another win for Republic volleyball. The Lady Tigers swept Lebanon on the road in three sets Tuesday night, 25-12 25-12 25-18.

The win runs Republic’s early-season record to 8-0, their best start in at least 14 seasons. Even more impressive, Republic has not yet dropped a set all season. They’ve won 18 consecutive sets to start 2022.

Tuesday, the Lady Tigers got nine kills from Kaemyn Bekemeier. Kailey Manes contributed four blocks up front to go along with three service aces. Claire Esther led the team in digs with 11, and Brooklyn Clayton had 18 assists.

Republic’s JV squad came from behind to win in three sets, 14-25 25-22 25-17. The freshman team lost in two sets, 16-25 16-28.

Republic will take a perfect record into a showdown with Kickapoo in Springfield Thursday.
