The number of consecutive sets won by the Republic volleyball team to open the season. The Lady Tigers are off to an 8-0 start. That’s the longest winning streak overall in the past decade for Republic volleyball, and it’s the best start to the season since at least 2008.

The number of strikeouts by freshman Piper Dishman in 15 2/3 innings pitched. She struck out 13 of 15 batters in her varsity debut against Walnut Grove. Dishman has started three of Republic’s four games and has a 2-1 record.

The batting average of Addison Walker. She leads the softball team in batting average through four games. She’s 6-for-12 with two doubles, has three RBIs, and she has scored five times in Republic’s first four games.

The placement of sophomore Izzy Benson at the first golf tournament of the season. Benson shot a 90 to finish as runner-up at the Joplin Invitational in a field of nearly 40 golfers. The Republic team finished fourth overall.
