Republic tennis opened its 2022 season with a 6-3 win over New Covenant Academy at the Gillenwaters courts in Springfield Monday. The Tigers won two of three doubles matches, then won four of the six doubles matches to clinch.

Two players – Curtis Fair and Bryce Martin – made their varsity debuts. They teamed up for a 6-4 doubles win, then each followed it up with singles victories, as well.
Republic’s JV squad won 8-3.
The Tigers are 1-0, and they play at Neosho Tuesday.
