Martin & Fair Lead Tiger Tennis at Waynesville Tourney

The tennis Tigers finished third at the Waynesville Tournament Friday. Bryce Martin and Curtis Fair led the way for Republic, earning the Flight 2 doubles bracket championship by winning all three of their matches.

Both of Republic’s entries in singles finished third in their brackets: Braden Snyder in Flight 1 and Chase Elder in Flight 2. Markus Mitchell and Garrett Carpenter finished fourth in Flight 1 doubles.

Capital City edged Rolla for the championship, tying in points but finishing first because it lost fewer games during the tournament. If Republic had won one more of its matches, it would have finished in first.
