Gunner Ellison’s entry into the varsity baseball lineup has started in high gear. Ellison is 3-for-8 with three walks, good for a .545 on-base percentage in the first three games of the season. He’s also scored a team-leading five runs, and he’s stolen four bases, more than anyone else on the team.
The versatile Ellison opened the season in left field, but could see time as a middle-infielder at times this year. He and the Tigers will return to action Thursday at Willard in a game against Lebanon.
