While the varsity basketball teams continue to shine, there’s lots of success at the JV level lately, as well. The Republic boys and girls junior varsity teams have a combined record of 28-3. They’ve managed to pile up those big win totals despite the fact that both varsity teams have relied more than usual on JV-eligible players for their own success.
The JV boys are 17-1. They haven’t lost since the the Willard JV tournament that tipped off the season. They’ll get a rematch against Willard this week.
The JV girls are 11-2, with their only two losses in non-conference games to Ozark and Nixa last month. They’re 4-0 in the COC, and they’ll get an opportunity to avenge their earlier losses during COC play later in the season.
