The Lady Tigers have bounced back quickly from their eight-point loss on the road at #4 Nixa. Since that time, Republic has played four times and won four games.
Two of those most recent opponents – both in Class 6 – are 20-win teams. And Republic won those two games by an average margin of 22 points. The Lady Tigers beat Webb City at home, then pounded #7 Ozark by 30, 64-34, to close out the conference season. After a road win at Hollister, the Lady Tigers dispatched Lebanon (20-7) 67-53 to open district play.
Republic has lost just once in the last month, and the Lady Tigers will have an opportunity to avenge that loss in the district semifinals when they play Nixa. That game is scheduled for next Tuesday at Joplin. Tipoff is set for 7:30.
